About Karbala Steel

Karbala Steel is the market name of the Karbala Iron and Steel Factory, also registered as "Iraq Steel Factory for Investments and Manufacturing Industries". The plant is in Karbala Governorate on the Hajj road near the Al-Qarya Al-Asriya neighbourhood, and holds investment licence No. 45 of 2013.

  • Main product: reinforcing steel (rebar) for construction.
  • Production capacity: 340,000 tons a year according to the Iron Foundation for Economic Development directory.
  • Location: Karbala Governorate in the Middle Euphrates region.
