About Darin Steel Erbil

Darin Steel Erbil is a rebar plant in Khabat District, Erbil Governorate, on the Kawergosk road. It was founded in 2009 and its bars carry the DS mark.

  • Capacity: more than 360,000 tons of rebar a year according to the company, with 17,000 tons of billet a month from its meltshop.
  • Standards: ASTM A615 Grade 60 and ASTM A706.
  • Certificates: ISO 9001:2015 quality, ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory and ISO 45001 occupational safety.

An ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory means tensile and bend test results come from a lab audited for competence. When you buy, ask for the steel analysis / test certificate for each load, check the diameter and weight per metre with the rebar weight calculator, and count the bars and check the quality before unloading.
